A short poetry film commissioned by SIFTMedia 215, which originated in the Good Grief poetry workshops led by spoken word recording artist, Ursula Rucker. The film’s performer and voice is Morgan MacConnell, who wrote her poem, They Say When A Great Soul Dies, in the workshop. Original film idea by M. Asli Dukan.
A poet travels the city alone as she laments on her past experiences. She carries a pen and a notebook with her and periodically writes in it as she contemplates the whereabouts of her PEACE. Deep in thought and full of melancholy, she eventually finds herself on the other side of the city, alongside the river, where she longs for herself to come home.
